Jeffrey T. Ball, Lake Geneva (1972 – 2009)

June 6, 1972 – December 2, 2009
Jeffrey T. Ball, 37, a lifelong resident of Lake Geneva, WI, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2009, of injuries received in an auto accident. He was born on June 6, 1972 in Geneva Township, WI, the son of Steven and Sherry (Yakes) Ball. He graduated from Badger High School in Lake Geneva in 1990. On Aug. 11, 1992, in Lake Geneva, he was united in marriage to the former Kathy Esmond. He had worked for several years as an auto CAD engineer for Woodright Incorporated. Jeff was an Eagle Scout and at the time of his death he was the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 235 in Lake Geneva. He also was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed high adventure scouting and camping. He was a talented woodworker and spent many happy hours wood crafting and designing furniture. He is survived by: his wife, Kathy; three children: Chelsey, Keaton, and Kayla, all at home; his mother, Sherry (Bill) Joyce of Lake Geneva; three sisters: Jackie (Brian) Borst of Lake Geneva, Cassie Pekul of San Diego, CA, and Amanda Joyce of Elkhorn; a niece, Erin Borst; two nephews, Josh and Nathan Borst; and his father and mother-in-law, Keith and Doris Esmond of Lake Geneva. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kendal; and his father, Steven. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, in the IMMANUEL EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH IN LAKE GENEVA. Pastor Mary Ann Moller-Gunderson will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva. Visitation will be on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the HAASE-DERRICK-LOCKWOOD FUNERAL HOME IN LAKE GENEVA, and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the CHURCH.
